Domenicali reacts to earthquake in Turkey: 'Shocked us all'

Stefano Domenicali has commented to Formula1.com on the earthquake that occurred in Turkey. In a short statement, the Formula 1 boss said he was praying for the victims during this difficult time.
Turkey and Syria experienced an earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale. It caused as many as 2,300 deaths so far, while nearly 3,000 buildings collapsed. More victims are expected in the coming days.
"Turkey has a very special place in the heart of F1 with so many incredible people. The tragedy that has taken place there has shocked us all and we pray for the victims and the people of Turkey," Domenicali stated.

History of the Turkish Grand Prix
Formula 1 has travelled to Turkey nine times in the past. Between 2005 and 2011, Kimi Raikkonen (2005), Felipe Massa (2006 to 2008), Jenson Button (2009), Lewis Hamilton (2010) and Sebastian Vettel (2011) won the race. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it returned in 2020 and 2021, with Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas winning once each.
