Bottas hungry for success with Alfa Romeo: "Need to achieve more"
Valtteri Bottas is keen to see improvements at Alfa Romeo for the 2023 Formula 1 season. The Finnish driver will start his second season with the team, after leaving Mercedes at the conclusion of the 2021 season.
Bottas started the 2022 season in fine form, but that dropped off through the middle of the year. In the end, the team finished sixth in the Constructors' Championship and could be pleased with their overall work.
Taking it to the next level
The team know that other midfield rivals will be improving, and they're keen to push forward themselves. Bottas knows what the target is: "We need to achieve more, it's simple as that. We need to aim for better, aim for higher," Bottas said during the car launch.
"I had a good break, which is important. Then we go full gas until the end of the year. A mental and physical reset is important. It's a privilege to see the car drive it. The whole team and myself included, we always need to keep improving. I am expecting better consistency, more points and better result. That comes from all the details and working better as a team," Bottas explained.
