Daniel Ricciardo made his first metres on behalf of Red Bull Racing on Wednesday. He did so not in a Formula 1 car, but in some powerhouse Ford cars.

Ricciardo visited Ford Performance's Michigan headquarters on behalf of Red Bull. On Wednesday, the US car brand shared on Twitter a series of videos of the driver taking to the track in different cars. These included him driving a Ford Mustang Mach 1, a Mach E and a V8 Supercar.
"I've driven pretty much every Ford under the sun," jokes Ricciardo as he has just stepped out of the Supercar. He adds that he is far from home in Michigan, but felt at home in the car. "It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed my first visit to Detroit and I'll be coming back, that's for sure," concluded the Australian.
Ricciardo, who drove for Red Bull from 2014 to 2018, made his return to the team after the 2022 F1 season. In his role as third driver, he was previously seen at the launch of the RB19 in New York, where the upcoming partnership with Ford was announced.
