Alfa Romeo sends new car onto the track for the first time

Alfa Romeo has become the first team to send its new 2023 car onto the track. On Twitter, the team shows how the C43 takes to the asphalt of the Circuit Barcelona de Catalunya.
Bottas gets the first go
Valtteri Bottas has been given the honour of being the first driver to drive a 2023 car on track. The Finn will drive the new black and red Alfa Romeo around the Circuit Barcelona de Catalunya for an announced shakedown session. Later in the day, Guanyu Zhou will also take a seat in the C43.
The shakedown is an important opportunity for both drivers and engineers to see how the car performs on the track. Official test days in Bahrain are relatively limited, and so any opportunity to see the car on track will be gratefully taken.
The test days will take place from 23 to 25 February. A week later, Bahrain will also host the first race weekend of 2023.
