Valtteri Bottas' new weapon, Alfa Romeo's C43, has been driven by the Finn after the filming days and the driver shares his initial findings with the public. Bottas says he cannot wait to get behind the wheel again.
Alfa Romeo is the fourth team to show its new car for the 2023 F1 season to the world. Haas, Red Bull Racing and Williams preceded the team, but with the filming days, Alfa Romeo was early. Meanwhile, the two days in which the team got to drive a hundred kilometres at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and shoot footage are over. Bottas brings an update after the two days.
Bottas as happy as a child to try out the C43
"It was another good day here in Barcelona; the filming and shakedown day. Obviously it wasn't many laps, but it gave the same feeling as yesterday. Everything worked as expected and we are ready for the testing days in Bahrain. I really enjoyed the first test with the C43 and I can't wait for more."
So, according to the Finn, it was two successful days. Bottas was very much looking forward to the first day of testing. In the video of the first day of testing, he joked about his new look: "I took my mullet for the first time today in an F1 car. When I woke up this morning, I was as happy as a child. We got to try out the C43!"
