Russell has clear goal: "We're all here to win"

For George Russell, Wednesday is a double celebration: it is his birthday, and in addition, the new Mercedes car was presented. After the presentation, he will get the chance to take to the Silverstone circuit immediately in the new car. During the launch, Russell expresses his expectations of the W14.
Mercedes unveiled the new W14 on Wednesday morning, opting for a new (but at the same time old) look. The car has been given a black exterior, returning to the 2020 and 2021 livery, after the team opted for a silver livery again in 2022.
Russell wants to win
For Russell, the goal for the new F1 season is clear. "We are all here to win, it's as simple as that," the Briton said when unveiling the W14. "We need to see what the challenge we are facing is, but the team have put so much hard work into this car."
Mercedes spent most of the 2022 season troubleshooting the W13, with one problem after another occurring. The team, therefore, wants to see anything but a repeat of that season. "The motivation and fire within the factory is immense because people don't want a repeat of 2022. We are ready for it," Russell said.
