Verschoor fastest at F2 practice: 'But there's still room for improvement'

Richard Verschoor clocked the fastest time at the second day of Formula 2 testing. Speaking to the official website of the F2 the Dutchman said he is happy with his results, but that he feels there is still plenty of room for improvement.
While Formula 1 still has to wait a few days for its first test days, Formula 2 is already running at full speed at the Bahrain circuit this week. During the second day of testing, Dutchman Richard Verschoor, who will race for Van Amersfoort Racing this year, narrowly managed the fastest time: only eight thousandths separated Verschoor from rival Victor Martins.
"There are still some things we need to work on," Verschoor reflected. "Of course I'm happy with first place, but I felt I didn't manage to get the most out of the car, even though it was a good lap. At this point, after two days of testing, I would say I need to work mainly on speed over a whole race. I don't feel comfortable with that yet. It looks good, but to be honest I'm not satisfied yet."
First year with Van Amersfoort Racing
Although this is Verschoor's third year in Formula 2, it is his first with Van Amersfoort Racing. Verschoor did note that it will take some time before the team really feels familiar, but that he already has a good click with the other people in the organisation. "And it helps that we are all Dutch, I feel good about that," the driver joked.
