It has now been about three years since the Williams family parted ways with the eponymous Formula 1 team. WAE Technologies, formerly known as Williams Advanced Engineering, has appointed Claire Williams as brand ambassador. The company, founded in 2010 by Williams F1, is incidentally no longer family-owned. Its aim was and is to translate the technology being developed by the Formula 1 team into everyday applications.

Claire Williams has made little or no appearance in the F1 paddock since her retirement after the 2020 Italian Grand Prix. Williams, whose late father Frank once founded as well as made the teams successful, was Williams' team boss in Formula 1 for seven years.
