Verstappen assembles F1 dream team: 'I would always choose him'
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen has told what his ultimate composition for a Formula 1 team would be. In a video for Mobil 1 The Grid Verstappen details who he thinks are the best drivers and team owners on the current grid.
The stated requirement was that Verstappen himself should have no role in the team. No team boss, no driver. Verstappen was only allowed to compose the team. The choices were also limited to people currently active in Formula 1. Legends from the past were not allowed.
On his choice of team boss, Verstappen did not have to think long. "Well, of the current people I think are capable of being the team principal, I would always go for Christian [Horner]." The choice is not very surprising: under Horner's leadership, Verstappen has won the world championship twice in a row. Of the current team bosses, only Toto Wolff has managed to win more titles than Horner.
Combination between young and experienced
The choice of drivers falls a little harder on the Dutchman. "I think there are a lot of good drivers, and I would go probably for an experienced one. So I would go for Fernando [Alonso]. And then I would take a young guy and I would put Lando [Norris] in the car."
If @Max33Verstappen were to ever become a team boss, this would be his dream line-up
