Stroll might be forced to miss Bahrain Grand Prix with injury
- GPblog.com
Rumour has it that Lance Stroll has suffered quite an injury from his cycling accident. According to Brazilian journalists, he has broken both wrists. However, these are still rumours.
Should it be true, it could mean that the Aston Martin driver will miss more than just the test days in Bahrain. It might even come down to multiple races, as such wrist injuries sometimes have a recovery of multiple weeks. Mike Krack, Aston Martin team boss, would not go into detail about Stroll's injury. However, he does say it has something to do with the wrist.
Drugovich or Vandoorne?
Should the Canadian be in a cast for an extended period, Felipe Drugovich might have to step into the car during the upcoming race(s). The Brazilian media is also said to have reported that Stoffel Vandoorne might step into the car. Again, this remains a matter of speculation. However, Vandoorne himself does rate Drugovich's chances highly, reports Grande Prémio.
Drugovich sat in the Sky Sports commentary box for some of the afternoon session. He was asked whether he would be racing in the Bahrain Grand Prix next week: "I don't know! It all depends on Lance, depending on his situation. I think he is recovering, that's the only good news I have. He will try to be at the race for sure. We need to wait and see if we are going to be racing or not," Drugovich said.
