Red Bull finds solution: 'RB19 suits both Verstappen and Perez'

Helmut Marko is delighted with the RB19 and thinks both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will be able to handle it. The Red Bull Racing advisor thinks the car will meet the needs of both drivers and suspects Perez's qualities will be better highlighted in it than in its predecessor, the RB18.

In the 2022 F1 season, Perez started strongly, but as the season progressed the Mexican struggled with the developments made by Red Bull. Verstappen, on the other hand, saw the car actually progress. This had everything to do with the two drivers' different driving styles, Marko stressed.
"The difference is that Max likes a strong front end. Checo is a bit different, he wants a more docile car. We now seem to have found a solution that lets both drivers play out their qualities," the 79-year-old Austrian explained to the German branch of Sky Sports.
As for the competition, Marko already expressed his expectation that the top three will again consist of Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes. However, he is also keeping an eye on two teams that could surprise: Aston Martin in particular has looked promising so far. "I think they have made the biggest step forward. But I think Alpine could also provide a surprise," Marko said.
