Will Verstappen ever race outside F1? 'I like to keep my legs'

Verstappen has no desire to race the Indycar 500. Speaking to the Daily Mail the two-time world champion discusses his possible plans outside Formula 1, and how he compares his role as a champion in Formula 1 with other racing classes.
Verstappen seems to have absolutely no intention of leaving Formula 1 just yet. Yet he was asked if he does not feel the need for other challenges outside F1. Verstappen was specifically asked if, like Alonso a few years ago, he would venture into the Indy 500, but the Dutchman had little desire to do so.
"I wouldn't do that," Verstappen responded. "I don't think it's worth the risk if you've already had a good career in Formula 1. I would love to win it and it would be a great race to do. I have huge respect for the drivers who do it. But I have never driven on an oval track before, so I would have to get used to that first. But the images of the serious accidents there make it not worth it for me. I'd rather not lose my legs."
'Nobody is perfect'
Verstappen was also asked if he sees himself as the best driver in the world. The Dutchman immediately made it clear that that is not a fair title.
"I am the champion in Formula 1, but there are many other categories," Verstappen stressed. "It's fascinating to meet other people who are good in their racing class. You can learn a lot from those people because nobody is perfect and you can always become a better driver."
