Red Bull happy but cautious: "It can change very quickly"

Red Bull Racing made a dream start to the 2023 Formula 1 season. The team saw Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez secure a perfect double victory at a pace that could not be matched, much to the delight of Christian Horner and Helmut Marko.
"It's been an incredible weekend," Horner told Sky Sports. "The drivers were fantastic. We were able to make the soft tyre work for us, the deg seemed less than the others which gives you options. Checo lost out at the start, he had work to do with Charles but strategy played well there and get got the pass done."
Joy at Red Bull
The Red Bull team boss is very happy that his team kicked off the season in the opposite way compared to a year ago. At the same time, he stresses that the balance of power can vary from circuit to circuit. "All the circuits are different but it's a great start for us," Horner said.
"It can change very quickly. Look at last year, Mercedes came from a long way back and had a winning car at the end of the year. Ferrari were unlucky today. We've only been on one track so let's reserve judgement," Horner said.
An equally satisfied Helmut Marko added: "We knew we had a strong package, our drivers doing the necessary speed to be at the front but not over doing it, nursing the tyres. We're really happy."
