Wolff sees Red Bull playing with competition: 'Going to win every race'

Toto Wolff is having a tough time. The Mercedes team boss stuck to the side podless design with his team and only saw the gap with Red Bull widen. Customer team Aston Martin looks even stronger. The Austrian does not see things coming good any time soon, he made clear in conversation with OE24.
The race weekend in Bahrain was very painful for Wolff. "Given my ambitions, it was terrible to see our deficit. There is one team that is miles away. They are playing with the competition, don't even have tyre wear," Wolff sighed, referring to Red Bull.
Even Aston Martin is faster than Mercedes
The eight-time Constructors' Champion even saw customer team Aston Martin close the gap to Mercedes. Wolff knows why: "they brought in a Red Bull man, who managed to suddenly make the car two seconds faster. A year ago, they were 17th and 19th in practice. Lance Stroll drove up front with two broken hands and a broken toe. That proves how good the car is. I have never seen such a jump in Formula 1."
Red Bull already won the title
Mercedes quickly put the world title out of mind. "Not this year, it's not going to happen." So, can Red Bull already celebrate the world title? As far as Wolff is concerned, yes: "After the first race, I believe they are going to win every race."
