More problems at Ferrari: 'technical boss considers stepping down'
- GPblog.com
There are two certainties in life: we are all born and there is turmoil within Ferrari. This time is no different. After the disappointing season opening in Bahrain, tensions in Maranello have only increased further. As icing on the cake, technical leader Enrico Cardile is now considering resigning, reports Corriero dello Sport.
Officially, Cardile may not carry the title, but in the corridors, everyone knows that Enrico Cardile is the technical boss at Ferrari. All major decisions made about the car go past the Italian aerodynamics specialist. Where yesterday it was already announced that Laurent Mekis may be leaving Ferrari, Cardile too is not sure of his future.
After resigning Binotto not sure about Ferrari
Corriero dello Sport reports that Cardile is considering leaving Ferrari. After the dismissal of Mattia Binotto, he no longer feels secure within the racing stable. Binotto, team boss at Ferrari last year, regularly stuck his neck out for Cardile. With him gone, Cardile fears for his own place. After all, in Cardile's eyes, Binotto was dismissed without making himself impossible. If Cardile drops out now, Ferrari is missing an incredibly important pawn in the continued development of the SF-23, which soon needs to find speed to catch up with rival Red Bull. Team boss Fred Vasseur is therefore keen to keep him on board.
