The Formula 1 calendar is bursting with Grand Prixs, but that is not stopping the FOM from looking at possible new races. According to The Times the managment is now in talks to hold a race through England's capital: London.
Formula 1 cars would go tearing through London's docks. More than 95,000 fans would then be able to watch from grandstands floating in the water. Under current plans, the circuit would be 5.9 kilometres long. The designers have taken the Canadian circuit de Gilles-Villeneuve as their inspiration.
Coming to London in 2026?
It will be a while until the Formula 1 anthem will roar through London Harbour. At best, if all comes through, the lights will go out for the first time in 2026. The plans for a grand prix are part of a plan to take London's ports under wraps.
