First red flag waved in Jeddah: F2 Free Practice not resumed

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit on which the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix will be held is known as a dangerous track. It will be the third year of racing there in 2023 and this year too, the first red flag falls early.
First red flag dropped in Saudi Arabia
In Formula 2, the first red flag of the Saudi Arabia GP weekend has already fallen. It looks like a nasty start to the weekend that after two years is already known for all the red flags being waved there. The flags are waved there for no small reasons. True horror crashes take place, think back to Mick Schumacher's in 2022.
As the flag was waved at the end of the F2 session, it was decided not to resume practice. This year's debuting 17-year-old Prema driver Oliver Bearman closed the session fastest as a result. It is quite conceivable that this is not going to be the only flag of the weekend. The waving of multiple red flags could cause run-outs, especially on Saturday when multiple qualifying sessions are held and the clock stops under a red flag.
