Max Verstappen arrived in Jeddah on Thursday for the Saudi Arabia GP a day later than the other drivers. The Dutchman was ill, but is now fit again and seems ready to race in Jeddah.
Verstappen back to his old self
Verstappen entered the paddock in Jeddah a day later than usual. Being sick kept him home for an extra day. Meanwhile, the Red Bull Racing driver seems to be back to his old self. Verstappen.com quotes the Dutchman: "I feel good. I have had a few restless days, but now I feel fit again. I haven't been able to do much for a few days, but I don't expect this to cause any problems."
Good news, then, for the driver and his fans. In Bahrain, Verstappen was supreme and in Saudi Arabia, he can further extend his early lead. Verstappen continued: "The first race in Bahrain was obviously a great start for us and the whole team of course, I was very happy with that, but I don't expect it to be the same here. I do think everyone will be a lot closer. How close we will have to wait and see."
