Marko explains choices for his drivers in FP2 : 'Seeing what works better'

Red Bull Racing finished in the top three with both cars in both the first and second free practice sessions in Jeddah. A result the Austrian racing stable can be satisfied with, Helmut Marko indicated on Friday evening.
Max Verstappen closed both sessions as the fastest man, while teammate Sergio Perez finished second and third respectively. In the second free practice session, Fernando Alonso managed to split both Red Bulls, but the pace seems to be right with both Verstappen and Perez.
Marko satisfied
"We are satisfied. I think we found the right direction with the set-up," Marko said in conversation with the German branch of Sky Sports. "With the tyres we have to see which one is better for the race, which is why we used different tyres in the long runs."
During the long runs, Verstappen drove on softs, while Perez finished his race simulation on mediums. Over the course of the weekend, Red Bull Racing will look at which tyre strategy is preferable based on the data from VT2.
