Windsor: 'Verstappen overtook Hamilton so perfunctory'

F1 analyst Peter Windsor was impressed by Max Verstappen's controlled start to the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. Afterwards, the Brit saw how Verstappen almost perfunctorily passed his former rival Lewis Hamilton.
Verstappen started an overtaking race in Jeddah on Sunday. It was remarkable how calm the Red Bull Racing driver started. On the narrow Jeddah Corniche street circuit, things can get very dangerous at the start. Controlled, the Dutchman stayed out of the tug-of-war in the starting phase. According to F1 expert Windsor, this is precisely why the Dutchman's start was very strong.
'Forget Hamilton-Verstappen of previous years'
As Verstappen passed his former rival, we saw how strong the RB19 is and how controlled the two-time world champion can drive. Windsor says in an afterthought on YouTube: "There was no opposition from Lewis. Forget Hamilton-Verstappen of recent years! Lewis could never have competed against him. But when Max posted the overtaking manoeuvre, it was so perfunctory and so simple."
Windsor continued: "It looked like a Sunday afternoon drive. Of course it wasn't and we do talk about Hamilton he outbraked." Windsor says making an F1 race look easy is the pinnacle of the sport. Verstappen's overtaking race from P15 to P2 is a spectacular achievement, but according to the expert, it did not even look that spectacular.
