Mercedes' PR department has already sent an open letter to fans following the difficult start to the season. Apparently, making statements is a new trend, as Carlos Sainz is also addressing his fans directly. The Ferrari Spaniard encouraged his supporters on Twitter not to lose faith above all.

Sainz wrote on his Twitter account: "To all our Tifosi out there, thank you for your unconditional support. I know we are not where we want to be, but we are Scuderia Ferrari and I’m confident we can turn things around, together, pushing forward and never giving up. Forza Ferrari!!"

Disappointing season start

Sainz and his teammate Charles Leclerc hoped to make a better attack on Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing's world titles this season with an improved Ferrari. Instead of getting closer, the Italian team seems to have fallen even further behind the Austrians. In Saudi Arabia, Sainz finished sixth, while Leclerc had to settle for seventh.

The Monegasque had to start the Grand Prix from the middle of the grid, following a grid penalty. He received that after technical problems during the opening race in Bahrain. Leclerc crashed out in that.
