Ricciardo on goals this season: 'People think I'm joking'

Yesterday, a Red Bull Racing tweet made it clear that Daniel Ricciardo will be present at the Melbourne Grand Prix. What are the goals of this 33-year-old Red Bull reserve driver?
After last year's difficult season in which his contract with McLaren was dissolved, Ricciardo will be back on the paddock in a week and a half. He tells in an interview with Formula1.com what achievements he wants to compete for this year. These are achievements for both on and off the grid.
"Jumping into the simulator, learning their car and helping shape the development are all things I’m focused on doing. In turn that will develop my abilities, my confidence, and my enjoyment behind the wheel," said the ever-smiling Australian.

Then Ricciardo takes a turn in the story. After talking about how he would like to spend more time with his family, a completely different topic of conversation comes up. He says he wants to do things this year that he has not had time for in recent years.
"People might think I’m joking here but I really want to get better and better on my 110[cc motocross bike]. I've always enjoyed motorbikes, but never really been able to ride much because the luxury of time hasn't been there."
The driven man says he enjoys anything to do with learning new skills.
