Perez reviews FP2: 'I was surprised I could see so little of the track'

Sergio Perez has reviewed the second free practice session for the Australian Grand Prix. In a press release, Max Verstappen's teammate analyses how his own session went in the wet conditions.
Practice sessions for the Australian Grand Prix have not gone smoothly for the drivers. GPS problems plagued the entire field in the first free practice, and in the second free practice, rainfall meant that real practice was only possible in the first 15 minutes. Perez struggled even more in the second session, as both his attempts at fast laps were stopped by slower cars on the track.
Perez cautiously optimistic
"There were some issues with the GPS in FP1, and it felt like a lot of us still had issues with it in FP2," Perez began his analysis. "We made some good changes from FP1 that I could feel in sector 1 and sector 2, but I couldn’t get a full lap in the afternoon with the traffic in sector 3. I was a bit surprised in the damp conditions that I couldn't get a good sense of the track, but in the dry, it was great, and the car felt good. There is plenty to do tomorrow, but we still take a lot of confidence from today. Tomorrow we will see where we really are."
