Hamilton: 'I see myself being with Mercedes until my last days'

Lewis Hamilton is now in his 11th season for the Mercedes team. Between 2014 and 2021, the German team enjoyed a dominant period with eight constructors' and seven drivers' titles. But since the introduction of new regulations, Mercedes has struggled, but Hamilton has no intention of leaving, wanting to help the team return to the top.
Hamilton failed to secure a victory last season for the first time in his Formula 1 career. This year too, the battle for victories seems far away for the Briton, as the W14 is not competitive enough either. There is a lot of work to do for Mercedes to get back to the front, and Hamilton is keen to contribute to this.
Hamilton wants to stay with Mercedes
Despite Mercedes' poorer performance, the seven-time world champion has indicated he does not want to leave the team. "I continue to feel very much at home, it’s family. I see myself being with Mercedes until my last days, to be honest," said the Briton at Motorsportweek.com.
Hamilton still feels 'young'
Hamilton wants to try to help the team get back to the top. He feels he is in a good place with the team as long as he can continue to help. "I think just for me personally, as long as I continue to help the team, as long as I can continue to help drive the team forwards and help contribute, then that’s where I want to stay. If there’s ever a point where I feel I’m not able to do that, then it’s time for a youngster to come in and take my seat. But I’m still feeling pretty young and in pretty decent shape."
