Hamilton on new rules: 'Didn't deliver everything it promised'

Lewis Hamilton argues that following cars in 2023 will be the same as before. The new rules in 2022 were supposed to make the following easier, but that effect has already disappeared in 2023, according to the British driver.
This year there was a slight change in the regulations for the floor of the cars, with the floor now raised 15 millimetres to address the bouncing of the cars. But Hamilton believes that following cars have become more difficult again in 2023. He is not alone in this, as Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen have also agreed with the Brit.

Several drivers have already spoken out about following being harder this year, and Hamilton concurs. "It’s the same as the past. I think last year for us was pretty bad with the bouncing, because you’ve got the turbulence and the bouncing, whereas this year we don’t have the bouncing," said the seven-time world champion at Motorsportweek.com.
With this, Hamilton says the regulations have not delivered what they promised. Following should have been much better as a result, but unfortunately, that seems to have lasted only one year. “I think it’s still a little bit better than the previous generation of cars. But hasn’t delivered everything that it said it would, so some improvements have to be made hopefully for the future.”
