AlphaTauri with fierce solution: 'Driving without a wing in Baku'
- GPblog.com
It is no secret that AlphaTauri has not put its house in order this season for now. After three race weekends, Red Bull's sister team managed to take just one point. Things are not looking good for the next race weekend in Baku either for now.
One of the big problems the AT04 has so far is its straight line speed. In Australia, Yuki Tsunoda measured a speed of 314.3 km/h, giving him the 17th top speed. The Japanese tells Motorsport.com he sees a solution: "So in Baku we need at least no wing or something like that to maximise straightline speed."
In Baku, straight line speed is very important. The circuit in Azerbaijan has a very long straight, and especially as there is also a sprint race during this weekend and therefore more points to be distributed, it will be important to have straight line speed in order. So the question is: will AlphaTauri get this right in time, or will it be a disastrous weekend?
