Valtteri Bottas is in his 11th season in Formula 1. He has not yet said he will retire but is already firmly focused on his life after motorsport. Bottas uses investments outside Formula 1 to improve his successes within motorsport. The Finn explains that these investments help improve his mindset.
Besides his own coffee, the Alfa Romeo driver has also invested in private jet companies. Bottas is convinced that life will be easier after F1. "I think that from a few years ago I started to invest in many different things because it is important to have other things, other passions, to do after if your career," Bottas said at Motorsport Week.
Bottas and Alfa Romeo
On the track, Bottas has had a rather mediocre start to the season. While he picked up points in Bahrain with a P8, the Alfa Romeo driver went home without points in the last two races. He struggled with damage and the overall race pace.
"Many times, people ask me ‘how do you have time for it?’. “But there is, we have off weeks, and even if we have simulator days or sponsors days between the races, in the evenings we still have out personal time." Said the 33-year-old driver.
