Stella on updates during sprint weekend: 'We are not worried'

McLaren team boss Andrea Stella is not worried about introducing updates to the orange [MCL60] car during the sprint weekend in Baku. According to the Italian, everything is under control for the Grand Prix. Will the British formation manage to pick up points again in Azerbaijan?
However, that weekend will feature only one free practice before qualifying on Friday night. Regardless of whether the format is changed, the cars are in parc ferme conditions and so any upgrade must work immediately. Stella is confident there are no risks involved.
McLaren takes the gamble
"So we are not too worried in terms of assessing whether it’s possible or not, unless there are some anomalies. But so far I have to say that the cars are proving to be correlating well with the development. That’s why we decided to introduce it, even if it’s a sprint race." Stella told Racer.
McLaren heads to Baku with fifth place in the constructors' championship in its pocket. This is due to the first points of the season in Melbourne. "We hope we can compete for points in the future on merit," Stella said after the somewhat fortunate constructors' points.
