With the three-week spring break, the drivers will be off for a while. No testing of current F1 cars is allowed, but Aston Martin and Alpine have used this period to give test drivers some metres.
Testing for F1 drivers
Felipe Drugovich was in action on behalf of Aston Martin at the Silverstone circuit on Wednesday. The Brazilian is the team's reserve driver, following his Formula 2 championship in 2022. Drugovich also came into action during the winter test, when Lance Stroll was unable to test following his accident on his bike. Drugovich drove the AMR21 at Silverstone.
''It was a good test day. We were able to push some laps on hard and soft tyres. We did have some problems, especially with the weather today, but also some problems with the car. It wasn't ideal, but it is what it is. We were able to do some laps and that's very nice,'' Drugovich said in his team's video.

Alpine is also using the opportunity to give its test driver mileage. Jack Doohan was in action at Silverstone on Thursday with an old Alpine car. Doohan hopes to secure an F1 seat before 2023, but outside of a second place in Saudi Arabia, has yet to impress in the F2 championship. After three race weekends, he is 11th, one place ahead of the other Alpine junior: Victor Martins.
