Leclerc: 'Getting competitive as soon as possible with new upgrades'
- Cas van de Kleut
The current three-week break in Formula 1 is very much to the liking of many of the teams. Such is the case with Charles Leclerc, who has had a dramatic start to the new season.
Ferrari with major upgrades in Baku?
The Monegasque failed to finish in two of the three races so far, and the one race he did finish was only seventh. With last season in mind, where he finished second in the drivers' championship, the start of this season is a big disappointment for anyone who loves Ferrari. The Ferrari driver is now only tenth in the championship.
With three weekends without races, Leclerc sees his team can get down to business, he told Formula1.com: “I think in the situation we are in as a team, we take this as an opportunity to work as much as possible during this break, in order to get upgrades as quickly as possible and be as competitive as we want sooner in this season.” What impact the stop has had, we will see during the next race weekend in Baku.
