Russell expects tough race in Miami: "It's definitely tricky"

George Russell has not yet been on the podium this season and in Azerbaijan, and his teammate Lewis Hamilton, generally speaking, finished off a better weekend than him. The good feeling in the W14 was missing and the British driver wants to turn the tide in Miami. Russell hopes to fight for a podium finish with the Aston Martins and Ferraris.
In Australia, Russell still qualified on the front row of the grid, but in Azerbaijan he had to settle for an 11th starting spot. In the press conference, he was asked for an explanation for that.
"I'm not too sure. It's fine margins," Russell stated. "I think we missed out on Q3 by four milliseconds, and that would have been a totally different story had we got into Q3 and probably could have qualified inside the top six, but clearly our car isn't quick enough. We need to continue to do a better job, and we'll go again this weekend. Hopefully, it'll be a slightly smoother weekend, and we can battle out with Aston and Ferrari."
Tough conditions in Miami
The 25-year-old driver, like all other drivers, will have to get used to the hot conditions. Moreover, it is relatively humid in Miami. "It's definitely tricky, for sure. I think last year, for all of us, it was one of the toughest races of the season, but I think it's exciting when it's difficult. Nobody wants an easy ride and it gives you an opportunity to do something better than the rest, but it's for sure when you're sat in that car for almost two hours, you're sweating it out."
