Lance Stroll exceeded the pit lane speed limit twice during the second free practice for the Miami Grand Prix. For this, his team received two fines.

The Aston Martin driver violated the pit lane speed limit around the middle of the second free practice session. The Canadian drove just 0.3km/h too fast, but despite that, the stewards punished his Aston Martin team with a €100 fine.

Violation of rules after second free practice

The second time Stroll broke the speed limit was after the session. Drivers do a test start after free practice and then drive back to the pit lane. In doing so, Fernando Alonso's teammate violated the speed limit for the second time in the second free practice session. The Canadian went 3.5 km/h too fast this time, resulting in a €400 fine for his team Aston Martin. The son of the team's owner finished the second free practice in eighth place, exactly a second behind the man who finished Friday's best, Max Verstappen.
