Stewards deliver verdict: no penalties for Hamilton and Magnussen
- GPblog.com
Kevin Magnussen and Lewis Hamilton have escaped punishment following the incident that occurred in Q1. The Haas F1 driver allegedly drove too slowly, while Hamilton may have misjudged the situation. Still, therefore, no penalties were handed out by the stewards.
It was argued that Magnussen still had a slow car in front of him, which meant he could not get on the gas himself very much earlier. Moreover, both the Dane and Hamilton were not on a fast lap, so it had no consequences for the timesheet. Both drivers were found not guilty of 'dangerous driving' in Miami qualifying.
