Button: 'I don't see Hamilton alongside Verstappen with Red Bull'

Lewis Hamilton is not having an easy time at the Mercedes team at the moment. The problems regarding the speed of the W14 seem to be all but resolved. The Brit is not at all happy about the speed in his car. Rumours about a possible switch for the seven-time world champion are therefore flaring up in various media. At Sky Sports, former teammate Jenson Button was quite adamant about this: "He is loyal to his team."
Lewis Hamilton does not seem to be very happy at his current employer Mercedes at the moment. The Briton has been dry for a while when it comes to victories. In addition, Lewis is increasingly coming across as somewhat vicious on the board radio towards his team.
With George Russell, the team seems to have two irons in the fire who perform almost equally with the car. There doesn't seem to be a clear number one in the team. This was in recent years and otherwise met Valtteri Bottas at Hamilton's side. The seven-time world champion seems to be getting more competition within the team.
A possible departure of the Briton from the team can therefore not be completely ruled out. However, according to Button, Lewis will still be able to be admired in the Mercedes colors for the time being: “He is loyal to his team. In addition, he does not have many options.”
Lewis won't quit any time soon
Button continued: "At Red Bull, I don't see Lewis driving alongside Max. Besides, I don't think he will go to Ferrari. And at Aston Martin they have already committed two drivers for the longer term." Button thinks Lewis Hamilton, together with Mercedes, has the ability to return to the top. One thing Lewis will not do anytime soon, according to Button, is quit.
