With his victory at the Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen once again rises up the record lists. It is his 38th win, putting him on par with Sebastian Vettel when it comes to victories for Red Bull Racing.

Verstappen puts F1 victory 38 behind his name

Verstappen has now won as many races for Red Bull as Sebastian Vettel won with the same team. The big difference, though, is that the German also dragged out four F1 titles during his time with the team; Verstappen 'only' two. With one more win, Verstappen is the Red Bull driver with the most wins, but not necessarily the most successful.

By beating his teammate Sergio Pérez, Verstappen grabbed the 26th one-two for Red Bull along with the Mexican. Red Bull, which has been around since 2005, now joins the big historic F1 teams. In fact, Red Bull is fifth on the list of teams with one-twos. Williams has 33 behind its name since 1975. For McLaren, it is 48, for Mercedes 59 and for Ferrari 85.

Point total Verstappen touches top three

With the victory and fastest race lap, Verstappen grabbed the full 26 points. This addition to his point total in his F1 career now puts him at 2130.5. That is fourth on the list. It is extremely likely that Verstappen will become the third most successful driver in terms of F1 points in Imola. Fernando Alonso is now on P3 with 2136 points. The difference is only 5.5 points.

On average, Verstappen is almost the most successful driver when it comes to F1 points. The Dutchman scored an average of 12.68 points per race in his F1 career. For Lewis Hamilton, this figure is 14.16. Vettel is on P3 with 10.36. In these rankings, you see mostly drivers from the past 10 to 15 years ranking high. That's because the points to be earned increased dramatically in 2010.

Fastest lap and win from P9

Because Verstappen also drove the fastest lap in Miami, he now comes in a shared tenth place on the list of drivers with the most fastest laps in Formula 1. Verstappen has 23, putting him on par with Fernando Alonso. They share the tenth spot with Nelson Piquet and Juan Manuel Fangio. Michael Schumacher leads the list with 77 fastest laps. Hamilton follows with 61.

A final interesting statistic from Verstappen's Miami race is that the Dutchman is the first driver to win a race from P9 since Niki Lauda in 1984 at Dijon. Winning from P9 is not a common occurrence in the entire history of F1. Before Lauda in 1984, it happened only three times. Maurice Trintigant in Monaco 1955, John Surtees in Italy 1967 and Jody Scheckter in Canada 1977.
