Very bad weather in Imola: Red Warning for Tuesday and Wednesday
- GPblog.com
The Emilia-Romagna region was already hit by severe weather two weeks ago, and once again there is very bad weather in the region where the Formula 1 circus will descend this weekend. The weather looks set to improve for the weekend, but for Tuesday and Wednesday, everyone is strongly advised to stay at home.
A red warning is in effect, so everyone is strongly advised against going out on the roads. Everyone should stay at home as much as possible, as the weather could cause extremely dangerous situations. For Formula 1, this might also have an impact, as all motorhomes will have to be assembled, and the cars and all other parts will have to be transported to the circuit by truck.
So it is doubtful whether everything can be built on time. After all, this is usually done on Wednesdays. It makes a difference that the first race sessions are not scheduled until Friday, leaving Thursday in between. The weather forecast for Thursday is much more favourable, but should the weather forecast change, the red warning that is currently only valid for Tuesday and Wednesday may also be extended to Thursday.
