Haas drives 150th race: 'We are still here and that makes me proud'
The Haas team will race its 150th Grand Prix during the upcoming race weekend in Imola. The US team has been active in the sport since 2016, and has alternated good seasons with lesser ones.

The team where Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg are behind the wheel has had a big impact on the sport. Whereas Haas team boss Guenther Steiner was a much-discussed character in the Netflix series 'Drive To Survive', the team has also often been a hotly debated topic over the years. Such was the case at the opening race in Melbourne in 2018, where Haas was heading for a very good result, but something went wrong at both Kevin Magnussen's and Romain Grosjean 's pit stops, forcing both to abandon the race.
Last year at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Haas surprised everyone. After a wet, chaotic qualifying session, Kevin Magnussen, who returned after a year's absence, managed to secure the team's first ever pole position.
Steiner praises his team
Team boss Steiner is incredibly proud of how his team has made an impact on the sport over the past few years, he told in the preview of the team ahead of the Imola Grand Prix: "What stood out for me is when we got to the race track in Melbourne in 2016 because we had so many people saying we wouldn’t make it. We made it, we’re still here and that makes me proud for the whole team. We scored points in our first race which hasn’t happened many times before in Formula 1 history as well. For me, it means a lot starting a team, it’s a dream for many to start a team and I could do it thanks to Gene Haas who allowed us to do this."
