The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix has been cancelled. After much uncertainty, it has been confirmed: the Imola Grand Prix that was to take place this coming weekend will not take place. It is not possible to organise a race because of the severe weather.
On Tuesday, staff at the circuit were already evacuated due to a flood risk. Earlier today, it was announced that staff would not be allowed to attend the circuit for the time being.

For a long time, it was said that the race weekend would go ahead as usual, but this ultimately proved to be unfeasible. Just after midday, it was announced that the situation is such that it is not responsible to let the Grand Prix go ahead. So everyone will have to wait an extra week for another Grand Prix. This one will be held on the streets of Monaco.
