Pérez laughs at question to Verstappen: 'Did you see the last sprint race?'
The Pardon My Take podcast features Red Bull Racing drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez and Red Bull team boss Christian Horner. Verstappen is asked a remarkable question by the show's host and Pérez responds wittily.
Indeed, the enthusiastic American host does not seem to be fully aware of the Dutchman's image in Formula 1. The host wonders if Verstappen ever goes off on a rival when he disagrees with something. Pérez can respond wittily. Indeed, the presenter does not seem to be fully aware of the events of the last few races either.
'Max, do you ever go for redress?'
The presenter asked, "Sometimes there are crashes, sometimes you think someone does something that puts you in danger. After the race, you then go to those guys to..." The sentence is not yet finished and Pérez is already surprised by the question. Pérez: " Didn't you see the last sprint race ?" As the Mexican probably thought, the presenter says "No". Pérez: "Oh, you should watch that one."
Verstappen holds his tongue at first, but decides to join in anyway and says: "No, no, nothing happened." Pérez alluded to the clash between Verstappen and George Russell. The two-time F1 champion went to seek redress from the Mercedes driver immediately after the race. After all, Russell had damaged Verstappen in the Azerbaijan sprint race.
