'We want to put on a good show, also we are going to show our pace'
Frenchman Esteban Ocon is looking forward to his return to the streets of Monaco. After a forced break due to the cancellation of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix last weekend, Formula 1 is finally back. Ocon cannot wait to be back on the narrow streets the principality has to offer.
"We are eager to get back out there and show our pace and show that we can compete with some of the top teams. Monaco is always an exciting weekend, one of the highlights of the season, and we will be looking to put on a good show for the fans," said the Frenchman in the press release looking ahead to next weekend.
Ocon looks forward to Monaco
Ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, the Alpine team is sixth in the World Constructors' Championship. The French team is equal in points with McLaren. Along with teammate and colleague Pierre Gasly, Alpine will try to finish above the McLaren's this weekend.
That Ocon is ready for the weekend in Monaco is clear from his statements. "The race is always such a spectacle, and the event is so prestigious with a lot of history, so it's always an intense but amazing experience."
