Brundle hopes for Hamilton at Ferrari: 'He can imitate Schumacher'
- Toby McLuskie
The transfer rumours about Lewis Hamilton have not gone unnoticed even by Martin Brundle. The former British racing driver said he would like to see Hamilton go to Ferrari. He thinks this is the best move for the seven-time world champion.
"With my Sky-cap on and my F1 cap on, I would love to see Lewis in a Ferrari and try to emulate Michael Schumacher there and win a championship there," he told Sky Sports. " I think it would be a great story for next year," Brundle said.
Hamilton at Ferrari?
Should Hamilton end up at Ferrari, Carlos Sainz or Charles Leclerc would have to give up his Ferrari seat to the Briton. Brundle does not doubt the quality of the drivers, but more the car the Italian racing stable currently has.
"Hamilton cannot single-handedly solve Ferrari's problems by pressing the accelerator and turning the wheel. They need a much bigger plan there."
