- Toby McLuskie
After Esteban Ocon's podium finish in Monaco, Alpine team boss Otmar Szafnauer can be satisfied with his formation's performance in the principality. In Alpine's press release, which came out after the race, he reveals that he is very satisfied with both Ocon and Pierre Gasly.
"It was also about two world-class race drives from both Ocon and Gasly to deliver such a strong team result. Well done to everyone and this result must serve as motivation for more results like this during this season."
Gasly and Szafnauer on Monaco result
Szafnauer was recently told that Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi was not happy with the French team's performance. The team boss will be happy with the weekend put down by the team in Monaco.
Gasly, who finished seventh in the Mediterranean dwarf state, can also look back on the weekend with satisfaction. "It’s been a really strong day for the team and a great reward for everyone’s hard work. On my side, of course, it’s good to score important points," he told.
