Verstappen sees forecast for Spain: 'Hopefully it throws it into the mix'
This weekend the Spanish Grand Prix is already on the programme. After the chaotic end in Monaco due to rain, there could just as easily be rain in Spain too, as Max Verstappen has already seen. The Dutchman is also curious about the circuit's new layout.
Verstappen sees rain on the way
A huge shower fell just before the end of the Monaco Grand Prix, turning the race upside down in the principality. Verstappen was one of many drivers who touched the wall due to the rain, but otherwise showed his excellent skills in rainy conditions once again. Rain is once again scheduled for the race in Spain, which the Dutchman does not mind. "Hopefully we’ll have some nice weather to throw into the mix too," Verstappen said in a Red Bull Racing press release.
Verstappen looks forward to Barcelona
This year, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has undergone some changes, as the last chicane has been removed. "I’m looking forward to going back to a track that we all know so well. I’m also interested to see the new layout for the last two corners. Of course, I have great memories from this circuit, especially winning my first Formula One race there."
