Ocon confident: 'Have always believed we had a good car'

Esteban Ocon did a great job in Monaco. The Frenchman finished handsomely on the podium in the principality, despite the chaos. Ocon argues that his team does need to stay focused, as there is still a long way to go.
Ocon drove a fantastic final lap in qualifying in Monaco and even held provisional pole position for a while. In the end, the Alpine driver fell back to fourth, but Charles Leclerc' s grid penalty still allowed Ocon to start third. In the race, the Frenchman managed to hold on to his third starting position.
Ocon wants to stay focused
The podium in Monaco was a great result for Alpine, but Ocon stresses that his team is still far from achieving the goals set. "We will keep our heads down as we know there is a long way to go and we have some ambitious targets that we still want to achieve," Ocon said in an Alpine press release.
Ocon looks forward to Barcelona
After the fantastic weekend in Monaco, the Frenchman is looking forward to next weekend. "We always believed we had a good car but a few things did not go our way in some of the early races this year. I am very much looking forward to the weekend and carrying this good momentum alongside everyone in the team."
