Max Verstappen is another record richer. After his victory through the narrow streets of Monte Carlo, the two-time world champion is now the Red Bull driver with the most wins for the racing stable.

The Dutchman has now racked up 39 victories in Austrian service. A record. Never before has a driver won so many races for the energy drink manufacturer. "I just want to keep doing what I do, but of course I need a good car for that," Verstappen responded in the press conference to GPblog and others when asked what his goals for the future are. "I don't know how long that will last. But hopefully, of course, for a while. I constantly want to try and improve myself every single year. Sometimes, of course, that works out a bit better than other races."

Verstappen's goals

"But I think I've said it many times, my goal was to win a championship. I did that. Now it's about, yeah, just also enjoy the moment, what you're in. Of course, I try to win as many races as I can, but I've never really been someone who was trying to break records or whatever. It's also important to have a good time and hopefully, work with the people I'm working with for a very long time as well."

Vettel's message?

The record was previously held by Sebastian Vettel. The German stuck at 38 wins for Verstappen's team. Verstappen has had no message from Vettel, he says. "No. I know Seb, he loves his statistics and numbers, but again, he still has four titles  compared to mine. I'm on two, so I think he's all right," the Dutchman poked fun at the former driver.
