Haas team boss Steiner receives reprimand after comments about stewards
Guenther Steiner has been reprimanded following his comments about the stewards prior to the race weekend. This was not reciprocated by the FIA.
The reprimand Steiner received stems from comments he made during a press event at which GPblog was present. The FIA reviewed the statements, and decided to issue a reprimand for using foul language that could make people feel attacked or humiliated.
Apologies from the team boss
In a press release from his team Haas, Steiner apologised towards the stewards: "I went to the stewards, and here I explained where my disappointment and my disagreement from the weekend in Monaco came from. The stewards then told me that they have no problem with people disagreeing with decisions, but that my statements could be misinterpreted. I told them I apologised if my comments were misunderstood or they came across as hurtful. I hereby apologise again here."
