Hamilton open about split with Cullen:' She's still a good friend'
- Cas van de Kleut
In March, it was announced that Lewis Hamilton and his physiotherapist Angela Cullen were ending their collaboration. We are now a few months on, and the Mercedes driver tells l'Equippe in an interview that he is very grateful for the years the two have worked together, and that he still misses his confidante.
For seven years, Cullen was by the side of the seven-time world champion. According to the British driver, it is difficult without her: "I miss her every day. She was a breath of fresh air for me every day. She was always a great help during the seven years we worked together. She was and still is a very good friend."
No change in racing routine
After such a long and intensive collaboration, it could be that this causes you to change things in your preparation for a qualifying session or a race. However, Hamilton says this is not that a change in his routine is in any relation to the break-up with Cullen: "I think you always have to adjust your routine, but the team helped me bounce back."
