Now that Red Bull is the dominant team, the other teams are trying to come up with something against the Austrian racing stable. For instance, there are suddenly a number of cars that look suspiciously like the RB19. Ferrari, however, denies that they have copied the new upgrades to the car from other teams.

Ferrari, unlike last year, has yet to pick up a single victory. While the other teams have made strides in terms of development, the Scuderia does not seem to have made much progress. Carlos Sainz is currently sixth with 58 points, and his teammate Charles Leclerc has to settle for seventh in the championship for now, with 42 points scored.

'We are not necessarily copying'

In Barcelona, Ferrari introduced the first major upgrades of the season, as the car's side pod no longer features a fancy arch. However, it looks a little more like the Red Bull concept, but the Scuderia's senior performance engineer Jock Clear refuses to admit that his team has copied others. "We’re not copying anyone, per se. We’re looking at what they did. We’re going back to our tunnel and trying to find out if that works. It’s appeared on the car now because it works. Ultimately, we only follow the science," Clear revealed to Speedcafe.com and others.
