Marko compares Vettel and Verstappen: 'With Max it's easier'
Red Bull Racing had an extremely successful driver with Sebastian Vettel, but now Max Verstappen has passed the German when it comes to the number of victories for the Austrian team. Helmut Marko points out the differences between the two top drivers.
Together, Vettel and Verstappen accounted for 79 of Red Bull's 100 wins. In Monaco, the Dutchman took his 39th win with his team, passing Vettel's 38 wins with Red Bull. Meanwhile, Verstappen's tally stands at 41 wins in Formula 1 and there certainly seems to be several more to come this season due to the dominance of the current RB19.
Marko sees more natural talent in Verstappen
In the Inside Line podcast, Marko is asked about what the biggest differences are between his two most successful drivers. "First of all, they have different characters. Both were completely focused on racing. And they had an unbelievable talent. Maybe Max is more natural," said Red Bull's top man.
"Seb he's going into the smallest detail. To be an engineer with him was not a nice time. If you want something, he was looking and looking. And there was nothing that was, how should I say, by accident. Everything was clearly planned and also executed in this way. So the difference, maybe Max does it more easy. It's more natural. Both are great drivers, no doubt."
