Fittipaldi on Perez performance: 'He needs to get his act together'
- Cas van de Kleut
There is no denying Red Bull Racing 's dominance. Together with Max Verstappen, the Austrian racing stable is a lethal combination, even for teammate Sergio Perez. Racing legend Emerson Fittipaldi therefore hopes Checo can recover in Austria, he told wettfreunde.net.
Verstappen's dominance
Of the eight races so far, Verstappen won six. Perez won two, meaning Red Bull took a win in all races in 2023 so far. Still, it is clear who is the big man within the Austrian racing stable, and Fittipaldi sees that too: "Max has the momentum and is on his way to his third world championship. I am sure he will be particularly motivated at this race. The team will also be under enormous pressure."
'Perez needs to perform'
Perez has been disappointing several times in recent races, where Verstappen has once again stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Fittipaldi says: "I hope Perez does well. Checo Perez needs to get his act together. He needs results. He needs to perform. In motorsport, as in any other sport, people don't remember three or four GPs, they remember the last Grand Prix."
